COMMODITY: Copper and Gold
OPERATION TYPE: Underground Mine
LOCATION: North Queensland, Australia
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Following AIC Copper Pty Ltd’s acquisition of the Eloise Copper-Gold Mine in North Queensland, the company sought to review, update and optimise its existing mine designs, Ore Reserves and Life of Mine (LOM) plan. As an established underground operation, Eloise required an integrated and refreshed technical foundation to support the transition to new ownership and to underpin a sustainable long-term production outlook.

Working in close collaboration with AIC Mines’ geology, geotechnical and engineering teams, our consultants undertook a comprehensive review of available data, including drill hole information, resource models and existing mine designs. Using Deswik.CAD and Deswik.Sched, we prepared updated development and stope designs, generated a high-level void model for reserve depletion, and refined key modifying factors and cutoff grade strategies. A series of review workshops and site visits ensured that mine designs, production parameters and scheduling outputs were fully aligned with operational and financial objectives.

The engagement delivered an optimised eight-year Life of Mine plan that identified near-term mining opportunities, long-term development options and additional remnant mining potential. The outcomes supported an updated Ore Reserve estimate and provided AIC Mines with a robust technical and economic framework for ongoing planning and budget preparation. The revised plan has since become the foundation for future resource development and long-term value optimisation at Eloise.

"Auryn Mining Advisory were able to complement our in-house team to deliver a high-quality outcome during a period of intensive workflow at AIC Mines. The work completed by the Auryn team has been fundamental to our ongoing success at the Eloise copper mine."
